World's First Artificial Heart Was Showed To Public And It Is 55 Years Old

Even Though the technology was developing day by day there was more genious person in 1950's they have designed and implemented a artificial heart which could save a person for more than one day without his own heart.

American surgeon Denton Arthur Cooley was in the medical team in the year of 1950's created a first artificial heart to use it in emergency situation when the person needs a new heart surgery.

Here is the interesting part starts Cooley successfully created the heart and placed to a 45 years old man and he was alive even after 2 days while searching for a suitable donor heart for him. At last they found a correct donor heart and replaced with the artificial heart.

This was happened before 50 years now it was showed publicly to everyone around the world. It is kept in Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC, USA.
We have more advanced technology when compared to 1950's but we are unable to make a artificial heart with our technology, this made world to inspire about the t creation of artificial heart. The Artificial Heart Made a impact on that time but they were unable to save Haskell. He was died after 6 days of surgery.

The Artificial heart was too old but it was in preserved condition and it was displayed last week if you are willing to see the heart you can go to Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC.

Have a look and tell us what you think about the technology in 1950 ? 20th Century has better technology than 1950?
