390 Persons Arrested For Copyrighted Goods Value of RS:1.44 Crore In Chennai
Criminals tried to take video tapes from India to other countries have seized by the police, all the goods has a worth of 1.44 crore including CD's, Dvd's and many other products.
A raid was taken by the Video Piracy Cell last night and sized more than 25,000 of compact disks and DVD's it is worth of RS: 1.44 crores around 390 persons were involved.
Still the VPC have raiding all over the state to get all the goods and tracking the persons who are all involved in this case.
Moreover around 390 cases were registered with 390 persons are arrested with a stronger evidence said, official report.
Police sized more than 25,000 CD's which contains latest Tamil movies and English movies dupped in Tamil which can be worth of 1.44 crores Indian money.
According to the report there are 25 causes in last three months publishing Tamil movies and copyrighted videos. The police also said they are planning to take action to cable operators who are publishing new Tamil movies without the authorization from the owner.
The Police release said they were sized many CD's in Karur District having the copyright videos without permission and arrested a person who owns a theater was involved in recording the new Tamil movies.
The VPC released stats for causes registered from last 5 years, more than 2,600 cases were registered and it was increased this time. In 2014 more than 5000 cases, they said it was a rapid increase when compared to last year.
